80 inch S&S long block is your best price point. If you want to step up a little, then the S&S V111 is a good motor for general use.

111's are a little hard to come by right now, but they are still shipping 80's. You'll need to see your local S&S indy to order it. Avoid the online dealers. If you have a warranty issue that online stuff can turn into a nightmare.

This looks exactly like a post I read a few minutes ago. That one was misplaced in the FXR sub-forum.

And no need to double post. It makes it hard for anybody to know what has been said if you are all over the place.

Wasn’t trying to double post. I am new to this and I couldn’t even find out how to start a thread that was the closest thing related to. My issue was the 111 engine that is why I posted it there and then I continued my research to try to learn how to start a new thread, and I found that accidentally, thank you for the heads up was not trying to be disrespectful

 

I have 5 bikes, all S&S powered. Two have the 111" "square" motors. Nice smooth power, plenty of get up and go. Well worth looking into. In my opinion, the best route to take.

 

S&S, carbureated model for you bike... low compression model will be better with your gearing, weight, etc.. like the 111. Any of the 4.125 bore engines will work for you.. the power starts down low,, and is capable of pulling the weight, effortlessly,, just do not lug the engines,,, keep revs at least 2500rpm, and up,, downshift if you need awesome quick accelelration..

 

The S&S 124

 

S&S 98CI SIDEWINDER is a tough and powerful replacement.
Their website states the 124CI will fit.

take it all with a grain of salt.. this is an internet forum...
I'm partial the S&S products,,, for the most part,, great warranty, incredible reps to deal with, full support is offered..
They aren't cheap,, but reliability is 10 on a scale of 10. Just do te basic maintenance..
Tere are low compression versions of te V111 & V124,, these also use milder cams
