2022 Indian Scout Bobber — Need guidance

I am planning to buy a 2022 Indian Scout Bobber (ABS). The owner bought the bike in June 2022 and will be moving out of state in early 2024. The bike only has around 300 miles on it. The owner has put an after market 2-1 exhaust and system, pipe and full intake (Bassani), and added black front fork covers and black clutch/brake levers making it blacked out entirely. The owner is quoting $12k and not willing to budge on the price.

I like the bike and am willing to buy it. This will be my first motorcycle in the U.S.A. and I'd like your guidance and advice.

What are things that I should be looking for and asking for from the owner before finalizing the deal? Really appreciate your help and thanks in advance!!

had a friend with one ...the stock pipes sounded pretty lolly pop...just an around town bike its fine and prob sounds correct with the new pipes, it was so smooth it almost felt electric...but not much space/spots for touring gear to mount etc...so think about what kind of riding you want to do and evolve into...for 12 grand you can get a cherry tour bike

Thanks for the insights! Agreed its not the best for long tours. It will be my first bike here in the USA so don't want to go for something larger just yet. I do get your point though. I will primarily be riding it to and from work and maybe go for rides in the state of WA to begin with.

Pardon my ignorance — what is a cherry tour bike?
