change your cams,,, something around a .510 to .550 lift with a mild open and close timing.. raise your compression.. 10.1 to 1 or very close to it..
K&N airfilter.. and decent exhaust.. maybe an SE slip-on muffler or something similar..
you do not have to "big bore" the motor if you dont want to but it sure helps with the power..

your biggest power/torque gain is from the compression then cams..
and neither will work if you dont give the motor the air to breath...

72.5 hp and 91.8 lb-tq

Yes,I have a 2002 FLHTCUI and I pulled 72.5 hp and 91.8 lb-tq. Current set up. YB12S cam from Yuill Bros. 236 duration on intake, Intake valve closing @ 36 degrees with .510 lift, S&S gear drive, Andrews adjustable push rods, Fueling cam plate, Fueling high volume oil pump. Porker Performance true dual headers, D&D 3-1/2" slash cut slip-ons, Screamin Eagle aircleaner assembly, Screamin Eagle Stage 1 Flash down load to ECM. Power Commander USB III with custom fuel map and dyno tune. Everything else in the top end is completely stock. All parts were new and I got everything at a discount price. Just keep your eyes open for a good deal. E-bay is a good place to start.

You really need to run dome pistons, or else you can't get the comp up high enough to get that kind of power, so it is a bigger(taller) piston. getting 1 hp per ci or 1ft lb torque is doable, even more so with a stroker engine. a larger bore piston allows for more HP. i believe that Steve from Fulsak had an 88" motor that had more than 90 ft lbs torque and 90 HP. He used andrews 37 cams, ported heads and a tricked out tb with his duals and muffs.

I know you hate it when folks don't really answer your question, but..... I got 79.3hp w/87.2 lbs torgue out of my 2001 '88 FXST using: Andrews 37wb cams, SE air cleaner, Python II exhausts w/Big City Thunder monster baffels and a good dyno tune and carb jetting of the stock CV. Runs good for me, but if you like to hear yourself think stear clear of the BCT baffels.
