Sold my 09 Road King and picked up a 14 Street Glide Special last fall. I had a nice handlebar arrangement for holding a beverage that won't work with the fairing. I'm wonderimg what those of you who had been riding behind a fairing longer than me have figured out. Thanks in advance, Tom

I have a 2013 and tried many things on the bars, but just did not like it in my face. So this is what I did. You can easily reach it while riding. got the holder from the dealer and the thermos on line (its a press button and the lid pops up so you can easily drink wile riding . the thermos that comes with the Harely holder is plastic and not worth ****.

I have a Kruzer Kaddy and love it. It comes in stainless steel or vinyl and two different thickness inserts. A special feature is that the mounting arm has two different ends. One end lets it fully rotate (don't know why you would want that) and the other end restricts its ability to swing (rotates maybe 20°).

It doesn't hit the gas cap cover but filling the gas tank on the same side as the cup holder is nasty.

This is what I use, got it from J&P.

It has rubber fingers to adapt to many sizes of container.

I've tried a few different cups in it. Anything with a straw is a no go. The wind siphons the liquid up the straw. I find that most will leak when full. Some more than others.

I always end up going back to the simple G2 bottle with a twist top. Drink the G2 and then fill it with what ever. I usually get a season out of a bottle, and they never grow legs and walk off.

Don't use one

I usually keep a bottle of water in my saddle bag in a coozie. I drink when we stop. Then when it's time to get gas I buy a new bottle of water.
You guys probablly ride further than I do without stopping though so you likely need a drink quicker than I do.

I've seen the Harley on that mounts on the left side of the motor. I can't imagine why anyone would use that. Seems like the drink would get hot instantly and annoy my left leg

I use the Harley Mount on the left side of my Road Glide. Keeps my handle bar uncluttered. Doesn't get hot and doesn't annoy my leg. Easy to reach.

I have had my barefoot willies cup holder for 13 years, just took it off of my 2002 flhtcui and installed it on my new cvo road glide, i would go with no other brand ever. will not scratch your handlebars.

I didn't go with cruzer caddy to small. GF hated it mounted on read engine guard. Was pissed my buddy would sell it to me. Could only use can, or they fly out.

I got couple self level ram mounts. Only certain coffee cups fit. Could be a little bigger. But I'd buy another. Never had a problem with pop bottle coming out. Sometimes I will leave a swallow or two, so it doesn't dance around.

So what, you have no intentions of ever pounding out 800 miles in a day? Hard to make miles if you stop every time your moth feels dry. Not to mention what kind of shape you'll be in after a few hours in the heat without hydrating.

I had one for a while but didn't use it much. I found I drank too much liquids and had to stop to P more often. I left it on my previous bike when I traded it. I just put a bottle of water in the left saddle bag and pull over when I need a sip. On the 14 Limited don't even have to get off the bike.

I don't want to screw around with one of those. I can see if you are some where really hot. some ATGATT guys wear them. I'D rather have a cup holder.

I guessing that is what he means.

I don't want something on my back, that is why I have bags.

I use a modded Kruzer Kaddy...

A couple of star washers in and out, and crank it tight, it doesn't rock. I can put those tall water bottles with the dish soap type tops, or the travel Gatorade bottle with the twist open top, or my stainless tall coffee cup.

I need to find a bottle with a long straw that I can use with a fullface though. The helmet makes the trip to work nice, as I have to man phones and can do so with my '14, or add another hour on to my work day.

It is only 65 miles to work, but it was 97º and full sun today, a sip of water would have been nice. I'll ride home in the dark, much nicer.
