I have a 2013 Limited and I am wanting to use Redline Transmisson fluid but I am confused by some of the terminology on some treads.
Redline has a V Twin Tramission Oil with shockproof and also Heavy Shock Proof Gear oil. Which one would be best?
Thanks in advance.

From the Redline website

We are very proud of our motor oils, but Red Line's unique product known as "ShockProof" is truly a game-changer in terms of its effectiveness in a V-Twin transmission. Many Red Line fans started using this product in its automotive packaging, known as Heavy ShockProof® Gear Oil. The same product is now packaged as V-Twin Transmission Oil. By the way, it's the same fluid used in the differential of the world's best Top Fuel Dragsters.

I've been running the shockproof gear oil for about 5 years and don't have any complaints. Can't claim that the transmission acts any differently than it did with anything else in it, but if you have a leak and it's pinkish you know right away it's coming from the transmission, which was my reason for using it initially since I had a leak that was hard to find. I kept using it because figured it couldn't hurt.

Same here BoutyM.

If I see pink on the pavement, there is no question.
Also its easier to read off the trans dip stick.

I only noticed the shifting difference for the first 200k, then its the same as Syn or dyno trans oil.

But I still use it.

One of the folks on the forum reported that his tranny failed. He said he did not blame the tranny fluid, but he said the tranny bearings were packed chuck full of the suspended particles...to the point where it looked like it would impede them...
My hd mechanic told me it's really for racing and not meant to be left in there long term...
Tons of choices for quality tranny lube...
