I have an intermittent speedo problem that's got me baffled. Have had it to the dealer but of course it's always working when they get it. 2003 FLHRCI 37,000 miles. Here's the problem. Every so often the speedo goes out. Usually prior to no reading the needle will flucuate rapidly. Once this happens, turn signals will not cancel and bike doesn't want to idle. Happened most recently on the way to Charleston. Had the cruise control set, tapped the brakes to disengage as I was cruising through Columbia, once outside of town I pushed the resume button. Speed kept increasing, decreasing as the speedo reading became unsteady. Shortly there after no speedo. No speedo all weekend. Came home last night, speedo works. I've checked speedo connection, cleaned contacts, cleaned speed sensor. Not sure what else I can check. Dealer is unsure, feels confident he can fix if it's not working but can never guarentee I can get it to him while it's not working. Any one have any ideas ?
