Can't you count the teeth without diassembling anything? Just mark your starting place (piece of tape, magic marker) and roll the bike forward a few times as you progress - 5 minute job.

 

Yeah, that part number doesn't how up for me either. It should either be 65 or 70 teeth, and Rick has the good plan to check it without taking anything apart. It might not even take five minutes...

Hey Guys,

Thanks for the input, I ran a yahoo search on the part number and low and behold up popped a discussion right here in the general discussion forum from 2 years ago. It is a 70 tooth sprocket Harley part number 40217-00.

I should have just run a search right here, I'll try that next time I have a question. By the way I did check the teeth, probably all of 4 minutes!!!
