Hello all,and thanks for letting me in. I'm a daily rider and just upgraded from my beloved soft tail to a 07' ultra classic,103 and loaded. I'm used to working on my old evo as well as an even older iron head, but nearly clueless about the big v-twin.
My air pressure gauge reads 50 p.s.i.,but the ride seems really stiff, except when I hit a small to medium bump (or worse),then it almost seems like it's bottoming out. I have read several posts but nobody agrees on the proper p.s.i.. I have read anywhere from 30 to 50. I know to use a hand pump and not compressed air,but I would like to have a more comfortable ride. Any advise would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,Bill.

Keep letting air out until the ride is as you like, while staying within the limits imposed it the manual. There is no perfect air pressure, that's why it is adjustable.
If you could work on an ironhead, and an evo, you can work on a new bike. The new bike are so some a semi trained monkey can do most of the maintenance and repairs. Sure for some things, electrical knowledge is necessary. Electricity is easy, just think of it as pressure and volume.
