Just remove it and drill a hole in your triple tree for a bottom mount headlight.

 

LOL - beauty is in the eye of the beholder! I like my headlight brow and narrow, 39 mm forks.

This is one of the things I did not like as well. In my opinion it look too Sportsteresk. Had alot of noobs calling it a sporty! Anyhoo you can see from my sig what I did. I also ran my wiring through the bars and got rid of the large connector from gauges.
