Tried these on my RG, still prefer the Heritage bars.

Chrome Wideglide (FXDWG) handlebars; suggested as stock Road Glide bar replacements.

Roughly 2 weeks old, in use for only a few hours. $49.95 from dealer, make an offer.

I haven't needed new cables for any of the 3 bars I've tried (Heritage, Wideglide and Custom), but the Wideglide bars stretch the brake line a bit and the Custom bars stretch it a lot.
Code:
Part Number Tip to Tip	Base	Rise	Pull Back
56623-99	31.25	11.5	8.5	5	Chrome Handlebars - Heritage Softail® Classic
56570-98	31.5	10.5	8.75	9.5	Custom Handlebars - Road Glide
56079-93T	32	10	10.25	6.5	WIDE GLIDE Chrome
56571-98	32	11.5	7	3.5	Stainless Road Glide® Handlebar
I can't actually tell you the specific difference that made me put the Heritage bars back on - it just feels more comfortable. I am pretty sure that it involves the spec that HD leaves out: "end rise". In the attached .jpg you can see that the top bars (Wideglide) have much less end rise than the lower bars (Heritage).

fwiw, I'm 5'9" with both 32" inseam and sleeve length.

Thanks for the quick response and pics. The reason I ask is, I had the Wideglide bars on my '02 RK and was really satisfied and comfy. So I installed them on my '04 RG and I still seem to be leaning forward instead of more upright and back even tho I roll the bars back. It appears that my be what the Heritage bars do for you comfort wise. I'm 5'10 and 32" inseam also. Thanks for those stats 'cause I forgot to ask.
