Wow may be an understatement! I just installed a set of Dyno Power slip on mufflers and a K&N air filter on my '02 Low Rider. I increased the slowjet from a 45 to a 48, and adjusted the mixture and idle speed (warmed up, set it at 1000 rpm).
The difference is amazing! It sounds great, and just a short spin around the neighborhood (it's cold out there) tells me I made the right choices.
Thanks to everyone (especially Hippo) for the advice, and for pointing me to the nightrider.com site.
Now I have to try to get rid of this goofy grin!! :D

Flash, I've done the exhaust thing and next is the breather and carb mod. I've been following Hippo's comments on this and have read the Nightrider article. Can you send me a PM with the details of how close to that article your mod was? I am fairly mechanical but not real familiar with this particular bike. I've worked on Triumph's and *** bikes mostly and Ive managed to screw up a couple of GTO Tri Power set ups in the distant past. I'm not real comfortable messing with the FXDL yet.
