I like this story VEEEERY much, but many things are not clear to me.

So, I would like to kindly ask you guys, first of all, to tell me if it is possible for this set 21F/18R of wheels and tires to be mounted on my 2001 Road King Classic, and if this is possible, to explain me what am I supposed to change/to buy in order to have/to run 21F/18R?

Just wheels and tires and wheel installation kits, or I have to change some additional things? What? Is this possible at all for my bike?

Looking forward to receiving your reply.

Thank you very much in advance.

For those of you worried about stripping the paint on your nice stock fender, try this. I have done a few and I drill the rear fender mount holes to 7/16" dia.. This allows you to tip the fender slightly forward. I have never had another issue.

OK emir, to make the switch you need wheels, tires, and a front lowering kit(1-1.5 inch). When you order wheels tell them what bike you have so that the wheels have the right bearings.

ram, 21"x3.5" front wheel.

Hope this helps

Thank you very much.

So, no need for OTHER modifications? Fenders? Rear sprocket?

Any ideas where I could look for wheels, since in 2003/04/05/06/07/08/09 H-D Parts Catalogs there are no 21" or 18" wheels that could be used/mounted on 2001 RKC, since specific model needs specific wheel(s).

Which tire dimensions do you suggest for 21" and for 18" wheels?

Complete information is important to me, taking into account that I am really looking forward to learning more about this issue, in order to make final decision.

Any one ever try installing ceramic wheel bearings when swtiching wheels? You will pick up extra HP/Tq with the less resistance!!!!!!

What width is your 21" rims...2.5 or 3.5?

Pro-One told me if I want to keep the same ride as stock, to go with the 21x3.5.
Yes, 21 x 3.5 is what you want to go with, or if you use Renegade wheels, theirs is 21 x 3.25.

If you decide on the 21 in front, the look is awesome. For me to make it work, it took a lot of effort (adjustments) to get the front forks set up right, using the race tech lowered kit and I put the Alloy Art air ride set up in the rear to make it a better ride.

Listen, that set up is awesome, it handle well and tight. I have a 2006 Flhtpi with a 21 hogpro rim/avon tire and the stock 16 in the rear. Also, the bike is lowered in the front and rear and rides like hell on wheels. But, let me tell you I have installed the Glide Pro stablizer into my ride and now it I love the handling (especially hitting 100mph at times). I just went to Boca Raton to Key West Rally in September and last month I was in Daytona, my scoot ran like a champ, no problems even with the grooved, pitted, pothole, uneven I95 pavement. Also, don't worry about the extra weight, I had my woman, both side bags filled and a huge pack in the rear and I was stil roaring without any problems. I recently, put on 16inch apes on my ride, due to the original bars killed my shoulders. Anyway, hopefully that helped out. I will have pics of my 06 soon..
muzzyydam..pls let me know when you post pics...I have an 05 FLHTI and would like to to go 21 up front..but keep the 16 out rear. I want to keep it low out back...also going with 14.5 apes this winter. would love to see what your bike looks like with these mods...thx
