Picture is too out focus and too close up to tell what you are working on. Do you have the manual? Did you get a warranty from the dealer? Do you have spark? Fuel? Anything else not working? Fuses ok? Check fuses with a test light or meter, not visually. Does the fuel pump run when you turn the switch on? Stop run switch set to run?

If a dealer repaired your wiring using those blue connections you described, never use them again! That is backyard shade tree hack s&#$! You NEVER use those as permanent connectors, especially where they can get wet!
I don't have a manual for that year, so the colors are no help, but you need to check for power at the fuses and the run relay. Is the bike carb or EFI?
