I do not like the feal of the Springer. Its a top heavy fealing too me that works you at low speeds. The FXWG is no slow speed high end handling bike eather but it dont feel so top heavy. I like the Duna family for function better, the softails got the looks but I the FXWG & the FXDL look good too.
Sits lower (better for shorter riders, sportier feel)
Better low-speed handling than Wide Glide
More legroom - better for taller riders
More comfortable 2-up riding (suspension-wise)
Engine better suited for high RPM operation
Springer frontend rumored to not hold up well
in harsh conditions (potholed roads, etc.)
Ideally, your friend should ride both bikes and make
up his/her own mind.
When I was looking for a new bike I asked both DWG owners and springer owners what they thought. What I found was that if you are a heavy person you'll find a better feeling ride on a Dyna. Thats the way it felt to me on test rides of both bikes.
