Anyone swap the rear axle head from the right side to the left. It looks like you need to remove the exhaust to get the axle out. Is there any reason why it should stay on the right?

My twisted logic suggests that the axle head lives on the right because the person who inserts them is on the right side of the assembly line. He or she presumably stands just upstream of the guy with an armful of exhausts...

In actuality I think it is that if the bearings seize on the axles then the whole deal could rotate and if the nut is on the left hypothetically it could loosen and the axle come out. Not likely, I'd worry about for cars making left turns ;)..............Ward
