CAN ANYONE ADVISE HOW TO GET MY WHITEWALLS LOOKING NICE AND BRIGHT.
THEY SEEM TO BE YELLOWING A BIT.

1st choice for me was get rid of the damn things !!! however while i had em sos pads worked best for me

I got some "white wall cleaner" at Pep Boys. Comes in aerosol can with scrub brush in the lid. Works great.

Put Parrafin oil in a spray bottle, spray the tyrewall and rubadubdub, wash well with soapy water. Nice'n'cheap

I don't run the wide whites anymore, but when I did......

Bike on stand 16" off graound

Spray wheels and tires with SHOUT

Bust open a Beer and let the thing soak.

Using a small brush and some Ajax or Comet, clean the white walls.

In this pic you can see the tires are not new nor is the bike. But doing the above routine twice a month kept em looking great.

All that fancy overpriced crap cannot TOUCH good ole Ajax in a can.

For all those opposed. Yes WWW take a little more work. If you'r like JimmyK you can put that time to good use. More work yes, but they look SOOOOOOO good.

Soft Scrub with bleach and those green scoth pads works geat I was going to get rid of my white walls but this technique worked great for me, do not use westleys it stains the aluminum.....B

JimmyK, the shout worked great. Spun the wheel, sprayed it on, smoked a cigar, wiped off, look brand new.

dot 3 brake fluid works great too, put some on a rag rub on white wall doesn't take much time or pressure. been using that for years works super and fast. (don't drench rag just add as needed.

that brake fluid (dot 3 ) will ruin your paint if it comes in contact. Be carefull

Luggage Rack

HarleyHog,

Noticed your luggage rack. I have the same setup. Did you have any
problems snugging up the spacers between the luggage rack ribs so they
don't rattle? The spacers at the end of the rack, no problem. The ones
closer in adjacent to the cast iron slides was a problem for me. Tightened
as much as one would want to, but spacers in that area still rattled. The
cast iron slides prevented the spacers from being snugged up. Finally,
just put some duct tape under the rack over these spacers to prevent
them from rattling. Temporary, until I figure a more permanent solution.

By the way, ww's and ride look like a Harley should! Great machine!
I have the 2003 FLHR . Thin ww's, cast wheels.
