Lookin for a 1/4" 12 point socket to get my damned brake pads swapped out. I am about ready to resort to a pair of needle-nosed vise-grips. I have looked f*@#&$*n everywhere. Searched out here on VTF with no luck. Thoughts?

I looked for mine at sears. I couldn't find it in the craftsman line up but they carried it in the cheaper section. I beleive they call it "Champion" or something like that. Try that at sears.

Sears has it in 1/4" and 3/8" drive. Get the 3/8" drive, as the torque is around 180 in lbs. The 1/4" wants to strip out.

I did that for rear. Wouldn't want to do it for front. I got a bagger too.

If you are needing tools for the occassional job go to http://www.harborfreight.com/ and get tools there.

Before I got my tool box, both of the sets of craftsman 150 and 190 peice sets I have for around the house use came with that particular peice in a 12 point. Those portable kits of craftsman are handy.
