I've added the Screamin' Eagle carb mod to my '98 FXDWG a few years ago. Last weekend I pulled the carb off to change the carb needle to the '88 Sportster needle (27095-88). As luck would have it, i dropped one of the 6 crush washers that connect the tubes to the head/jug and can't find it. I did some searches on this forum for where to buy replacement crush washers, and could find the info. So, I went to the local hardware stores (Ace Hdw, Lowe's, and Menards) - no luck there either.

I went to HD and they're $1 each... not expensive, but more than they should cost, especially since you can hammer them flat for reuse.

Where's do you normally buy your crush washers?

Try going to a little store that is strictly hardware such as fasteners..bolts, nuts, washers, studs, etc. May have an SAE sign in front.

On the other hand...You will spend more money on gas running around than you will on a few at HD.

Better find that washer...
