I'm always trying out different wheel cleaners on my solid polished aluminum rear wheel, most worked ok but none were really great. A week or so ago, just for the heck of it, I tried Meguiar's Scratch X on a small portion of the wheel, and bingo! I saw right away I might be on to something, especially when the applicator rag I was using started turning black as I was rubbing it in, (I removed the brake dust prior to starting). Removing the glaze was easy and the shine was unreal, it removed small scratches & left the wheel smooth as glass. I did the rest of the wheel & put some polish on afterwards, but it seemed to dull the shine after buffing it off. I used the Scratch X again to remove the polish & the shine came right back. This may have been mentioned before but I didn't find it during my search. Has anybody ever tried this before? Let me know & if you do try it let me know what you think, thanks.
