Came across a nice Porter from Founders Brewing in Grand Rapids, MI. Pretty dang tasty.
Anything from Founders is top shelf. Bells makes some damn good beer also. Just finished a Bells Porter. Michigan is definitely rooted in the American Craft beer industry.

If you ever see it - or get a chance to go to the release party at the brewery - the Founders KBS is a sure thing.

I am a can snob  usually and this didn't even sound good but but it was icy cold.
It did not have a fake blueberry taste. Just the right amount, very little.
Damn, good beer is so much better and easily available then when I was young.
Here's to all the good beer makers.

sigh , been liking those Leinenkugel Lemon Summer Shandys , perhaps a bit too much.
Getting hard to find as they only make it from March thru August. But as popular as it seems , why not year 'round?

Can't they get lemons in Wisconsin the rest of the year?

Actually that is the same brand my buddy Norm drinks except he likes the dark. That is some foul tasting beer until about halfway through the first bottle. The 3rd was smoooth.

Ya have to have friends to get free beer.....
No, just take the one friend you have to a bar where no one knows you. Ask the band to play Happy Birthday for your buddy. Once he gets a few free beers and several dances with the women in the bar, he will get over being pissed.

There is this little brewery on the other side of town here that makes the most excellent pilsner that I've ever had. The downside is that their service is always crappy to the point where I have to beg for a beer. Their food is meh as well, but man can they brew beer.
