I've got the SE air cleaner, jet, and drilled out the stock mufflers on a '99 dyna sport. Any advice on if I'll get a deeper sound and better low-mid torque with slip-ons?

I'm looking at SE II, Cycle Shack, Khrome Werks, or D&D. Any comparison sites or actual experience with sound or torque curves?

Thanks, Bub and Flash. Yeh, I agree on the air filter. The SE I've got is basically a KN (think that KN probably makes them... the design is virtually identical). Don't know anyone that's running the Dyno Power, I'll have to check them out, too.

Went to a dealer today... they're really up on Vance n Hines. Quality pipes, just too "sharp" of a sound for what I'm looking for (went back to service and had them fire some straight and long shots up). I've heard the deep rumble I like, just don't know which pipes or mufflers they are. The weather's so crappy in Mn (snowing again tonight!) that there aren't enough bikes out to listen to.

pipes

hey fxdx99 i have se slip on turn outs on my 99 fxd and i love them. now i am told i bought some of the last se1 slip on that harley had before the se2 witch are quieter. now i have been told that cycle shack slip ons are the identical mufflers as the se1 are. and in this area sc slip on mufflers are real popular. i know there are dozens of pipe out there and it still is a personal choice. that is what harley davidson is all about.
