Considering this for my 48. I obviously like the way that it looks but beyond that, I want consider my stock seat (my bike is a 2019) when I want to do longer rides (hundreds of miles) so that I can really feel more comfort. Am I crazy? probably.

Don't cost much to put a set of struts on it and find out.

But long rides ain't what hard tail bobbers are built for. Its a look, and when starting from scratch, its cheaper. Past that, there's just not much to say.

Are you crazy? I doubt it. Do you need some scooter schooling? ya, I think you do.

You can change the tail section and shocks on the 48 and get the bobber look, without killing the suspension.

Are you wanting a hardtail (rigid frame) or a rigidly mounted solo seat (stock suspension w/ no springs on the seat)? If you want a hardtail, try Therm's advice on the struts. If you want a rigidly mounted seat, It won't be much different than stock, depending on the seat.
