I'm new here and hope I have not posted in the wrong forum but have a newbie question. What do the acronyms FLSTSI, FLTR, FXSTC and FLHR mean? I knowe there are more of them just can't think of them now. Thanks.

Here is a quick partial list.........

F= Big engine 1440cc

L=low/small diameter front tire
X=tall/big diameter front tire

ST=softail
HT=highway touring
WG=wide glide
D=dyna
HR=Road King
TR=Road Glide

F=FatBoy
S=Springer
C=Classic
D=Duece
U=Ultra

I=Injected

So a FLHRCI is a 1440 small front tire Road King Classic Injected
and a FatBoy carbureted is FLSTF

I have a 02 FLSTF & a 96 FLSTF but both Okalahoma titles list the bikes as an FLF. Any ideas why?

Maybe the ST is redundant since Fatboys are in the SoftTail Family? Just a guess. I would think that this would imply that the registrar would have a working knowledge of the lettering system. Naw, that can't be. Aw what the fu(K am I saying. Now I'll just shut up.....stupid...muth..fu(k.r, told....you...never...get on...this....comp..ter...again........................

Well, I had considerd that but my bro's 84 softail custom is registered as an fxst. I suppose I'll ask when I renew my tag but I doubt they'll know either. ?????
