My pal and I were out riding a couple of weeks ago. He looks over at me sez "My volume knob is rattling around." ('04 Ultra). I looked at mine and it wuz doing the same thang. The plastic knob on the switch is so loose I can't believe it hasn't split the scene yet. I never had noticed it before cuz I always wear gloves even in the summer. Anyone else noticed this problem?

If it feels like the shaft it's pressed onto is loose, you probably have a loose screw inside the pod. There is a tiny phillips head screw that holds down the switch. Sounds like the whole switch inside is loose. I'm assuming the volume still works?

Still works

I went out to my cold garage and checked it out closer and it appears the shaft is tight...it just seems to be the knob on the end of the shaft. No static or weird noises when adjusting. I'm gonna take it apart and check things out closer later this week as my riding is real limited this time of year....
