How about the frame rails? On the same model, have they changed physically (besides the color) from year to year?

 

Most are forward controls and interchangeable. The R is a completely different frame but the front rails may work and the D has mid pegs, the rails would fit but the not have pegs and vice versa.

 

Thanks! I'm developing an assembly that interfaces with the four frame mounting points and the frame neck. Designed and built to an 08 Night Rod. I believe the rake angle changes between 30-32-34 degrees depending on the model. So, are the four frame rail mount points consistent (relative to each other) 02 thru current?

The rake changes were done through the triple trees. The frame angle was consistent through the years. The only one I am not sure on is the VRSCR.

 

So, is the rake only different because of the triple-trees, or do the frames have different rake at the neck also?

 

I am fairly certain all necks are the same with the possible exception of the R.
