V&H BigShot duals for cheap?

1132 Views 7 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  RMC_SS_LDO
Any of our site sponsors have a line on the V&H Big Shot bagger Duals for cheap? No luck finding them so far, but just started looking.

If not, any suggestions for other reputable vendors that have them at a good price (would much prefer to support our sponsors though)?

try direct parts......http://www.directparts.com/

they have great prices and the BEST customer service
I didn't find them on thier site..... need to give them a call.

The best price I've found so far is at cyborgcycles.com. I have only bought a couple of odds and ends from them with good luck, so I have no reason not to order from them again on something bigger (like this).

Still in search of someone to break the five bill mark delivered.... may be in for a long wait.

As I said before, I'd actually prefer to support our sponsors here, but I guess they aren't in the V&H business.

Hey DP.... If I'm missing someone who supports you that might do exhausts, please let me know!!

Thanks,

Allen

If your still looking, Eastern Performance Cycles has them for right around $500 after you add shipping. Thinking about getting these for my bike too.

Have you seen those pipes on a bike? From the pictures I have seen they appear to be somewhat narrow. I was considering the Big Shots Duals but now I'm leaning toward the V&H True Duals header pipes and V&H Oval slip-ons. I like the idea of the 1-piece setup of the Big Shots. The downside is that you have to change everything instead of just the muffler if you decide to try something different. Do you have an opinion of the Big Shots sound and performance? Where are you at the Jersey Shore? I'm near Atlantic City

Hey, I haven't heard or seen in person the big shot duals. I'm looking to change my exhaust too - would like to get something with dual headers, not crazy expensive and not too loud (live in a townhouse complex), but would like a deep tone.

I heard these big shot duals are loud, not sure if it's a deep sound or not. The sound clip on vance and hines site doesn't sound good to me.

I think I'm leaning toward the v&h true dual headers and maybe the exhaust from wild pigs or fullsac. I like the ovals, but might try something cheaper first. I also like the fact that you don't have to trash your entire system to try new pipes if I get the headers.

BTW, I'm up north from you, in holmdel - up around exit 114 :)

You know maybe I'll check into the Wild Pigs to go along with the V&H True Duals. If the big shot duals are loud then they are definitely off my short list. I have the 1-piece SE slip-ons now. The volume on the SE's is good but the tone is not as deep as I would like.

I'm just 4 miles off exit 48 on the GSP. My Daughter is near you at Sandy Hook. Her Husband is stationed there in the Coast Guard. I was just up that way at her house yesterday.
I admit, I have not seen or heard the BS Duals yet. They peaked my interest since I have BS Staggared on the Fatboy, so I am only guessing the duals will be similar. As for the sound on the Fatboy, yes they are about a 6-7 on a 10 scale for loud (1 being stock, 10 open drag pipes), I will regularly set off any number of car alarms :harhar: with the stock baffels in. The great thing- both the Stag and the Duals accept the "Quiet Baffels". I do not run them in the Fayboy yet (I really love the sound), but I have heard them on other bikes. They do make a big impact on the sound level- lower and quieter note. My wife rides the Fatboy now and we will likely put a set of the quiet baffels on order since she wants to tone it down a bit.

I would like the chance to see and hear the duals before buying, but that's not a requirement. They will be ordered with a set of quiet baffels to start with for the dresser. Only thing about the duals as they are set up right now- according to the tech line at V&H, you have to remove the heat shields to swap baffels on them. The BS Stags that 1st came out has the same issue, but they wized up after a year or so of production and moved the locking screw a bit to allow you to pull the baffels without pulling the heat shields. You'd like to think they would be smart enough to figure out it was a crappy idea on the other BS pipes, so why not introduce the new line without the same issue?!
