[Ultra39]

Does anyone have any experience with headsets other than the Harley ones? Presently have J&M headsets in helmets that were used on a Goldwing and was wondering if anyone has experience with J&M on the ultra.

I have had 3-4 sets from Harley. Only advantage to them is they will rebuild them for 50 dollars. This last year I bought a new Concept helmet. Wanted better headphones and bought a set at [email protected] . Sent the helmet off to have a built in install and have had no regrets. Better sound, and has lasted almost 2 years with no problems. I use the headset all the time and have about 25K miles on this set with no problems. HD ones gave me some problems in the rain with cutting out and stuff. Not with these. They sound better and so far no problems. Of couse they cost more if you can beleive it but seem worth it so far. and they work with other HD head sets on the same system.

Presently have the J&M heatsets installed in Arai helmets and all I have to do is get the cords and they will be compatable with H-D, was just hoping someone had some experience with the J&M on the Ultra.

I have the Arai J&M head setup on my 01 Ultra. Been using them since I got it New in Sept 01. The Only change I made was using the Lower cord 8Pin on the Harley.
Leave the Lower attached to the Harley and Hook up to the lower cord on my 02 Gl1800 This setup works Great for me as I can use same helmet on both rides.

Vazhog...Thanks for the info, I know I need the lower cord and plan to order them soon. Have you any comparisons on how the headsets function on the Ultra vs the 1800. Thanks
