Has come up a few times about a buddy long lost from (you name the branch of service) that wants to do a look-up after 20-30 years. The question is how? I know with all the brainy folks in here we can hash this over and find a way to help others.

The one I always hear about is the VA, but with the fire in St Louis a long time ago, a lot of records were lost. Also you need a Soc Sec number in most cases to find someone.

If anyone has any ideas , please post here any website url's and/or phone numbers that fellow vets can use to get in touch with long lost comrades. Thanks.

It may be a longshot, but you can look around www.military.com to see if there is any helpful info.

Or you could try the internet whitepages, good luck there...

I found two of my buddies through military.com and vetsrollcall.com. One of these two sites (can't remember which) will lead you to a white pages phone and email listing. You may need to write to the addresses. A little work, but it may just pay off.

Good luck!
