I've got about 6K miles on my 2000 FLSTC. The tread still looks OK but I'm going on six years on the tires. Is it time to change them out anyway?

1. Check the side walls, do you see any cracking. If so, change them. The cracking can be very fine look real close.
2. Stop working so damn hard and go riding. Do 6k mile in 1 year not 1k miles in 1 year. Then you will not have this problem. Be proactive, ride more.

Thanks for the info. Yeah, I hear ya on the work thing; problem is that the f&%ing weather here in northern VA is so bad that weekends are usually washed out and/or too cold now.
