Forgot to post this with my previous primary question but here goes: Did a search and checked my service manual and could not find what I'm looking for, after performing the throttle cable adjustment, the metal elbow's coming right out of the bottom of the throttle, seem loose even after all slack was removed from he both cables. Is this normal? Seems to me that they should be tighter. Thanks again.

Those "elbows" are only held in the throttle assembly by a small spring clip on each one. Yup, I think it is normal to see a bit of movement, even with the cables properly adjusted.

Yep, Twincamzz is correct. They swivel a little. If you can see the spring clip then something isn't good. Also make sure the cables are seated correctly in the carb bracket.
