Got new chrome risers with top clamp for the bars. But no mention is made in the H-D installation instructions about use of threadlock on either the riser bolts (thru the top tree) or on the four clamp bolts. Although once installed, I don't expect to remove them, still it seems reasonable that blue threadlock should be used. If anyone has experience with installation of new risers, please let me know.

Thread locker is only for use under specific types of metals. IMS, it doesn't work well with aluminum. Don't know how it works with chrome, my guess is not well. Most risers are made from aluminum, btw. The torque on the riser bolts should be more then enough to hold things in place. If your bars still slip, then increase the coefficient of friction on the bars/riser clamps (i.e. scuff then up a bit with sand paper and a center punch so they grip better). Good luck...
