Recently got to view "Then Came Bronson" again after over 30 years. It was/is way cool, almost erie and electric, like being transplanted back in time, absolutely amazing the parts I remembered exactly from seeing it only twice, both over 30 years ago. I have been looking to buy this video for about 20 years (ever since I got a VCR), tried every source I could think of, ask at every video store, did web searches, read TV Guide religiuosly every week for years hoping for a re-run but nothing, nothing, nothing. FINALLY I foumd it from a tip in National Dragster. It can be found at www.hotrodmemories.com, their #V00153, $19.95+$6 s+h.

This is the original pilot film for the TV series which ran just one season on ABC from 1969-70. This was absolutely my favorite show ever, almost cult-like to myself and my group of motorcycle crazy teenage freinds. This pilot aired before the series in the spring of '69 and ran just one more time in either '70 or '71 (I forget). Starring MichaeI Parks and Bonnie Bedelia, Bronson's (Park) friend commits suicide, causing Bronson to quit his job and just take off on his former partners Sportster and travel America in search of himself. I'm sure some of you out there remember the series, but probably more that never heard of it, or were too young, or not even born in '69. It is a little bit fake in some parts (mainly the hillclimb where Bronson's Sportster magicly becomes a Greeves 2 stroke) but in all it is super cool, and I highly reccomend it to anyone who likes motorcycles in general and Harleys in particular.

Wow.... I remeber the movie and the show. I was a huge fan as a kid. I'd ask people from time to time if they remeber it, but to no avail. Thx 4 the lead. I surely would love to see it again.

It pays to be a old fart now and then don't it . The best show on then.
I was in HS and riding my first bike a 106 Sears, wore it out and got my first HD a 66 250 sprint.

Highrider, my friend POPO (you met him in Laughlin) and me are going to be in Vegas on 09/12. Probably a few others. Might ride up to the lodge on Mt. Charleston. Show up for a cold one.

Will do, probably around the 9th.
On the 11th we have a big ride planned in Phoenix. There will be one bike for every casualty, divided by groups, ie NYPD, NYFD, one tower or the other, the Pentagon, etc. Mike and me will be in the Pentagon group, DPS will close the interstate and the boys from Luke AFB will do a flyover. DPS will have a chopper and bike escort.

Should be a good ceremony.
The next day we head to Vegas. Have a couple of rooms at the 4 Queens and Fitzgeralds.
They are supposed to recreate the ceremony they had last year on Friday night, I believe at 1900.
