Has anyone installed this kit on their bike.

I am looking at this kit.

I like the idea of a square motor.

Question:

1. Are the pistons and jugs matched. Or should I order .005 over pistons and hone with torque plates to match them.

2. Do the heads flow as well as they can or shall I have them worked on.

Any information will be helpfull.

The kit I am talking about includes the heads, pistons, geared cams, jugs and every other suport item.

What I plan on doing is having the jugs diamond cut for looks. So after that is done I was wondering if I should just bore and hone the jugs using the torque plates to .010 to make it a perfect match.

As far as the head question. It's with the S&S heads.

Yes I do know the the moco did a piss poor job on the flow for the stock heads.

I bought my SE big bore pistons at .005 over so I could do the mating. Didn't trust SE doing the matching with the 1550 kit. In fact I wouldn't trust SS either but no experience on SS. got 12,000miles on them this year and no problems yet. Putting in the 103 this winter and will get SE stroker forged pistons at .005 over as well again.

S&S bores/hones thier cylinders to fit each piston.
(Glad to see your using some quality parts!)

Call S&S and ask them what cam you need for the riding style or power you want
for thier heads. They would know better than anyone else!!
