Stupid, but I just bought a corbin seat to put on my fatboy, when I took the orig seat off,, there is this clear tape, plastic stuff that covers the fender, does this just peel off, don't want to take the paint off??

Thanks, I figure it just peel off, but want to be sure....

i agree on the hairdryer thing, but what i have also done is start peeling a corner away, and as you are pulling, spray some lubricant like windex or wd-40 on it. Just spray on the part coming upwhere it meet the fender, if you know what i mean...then a GOOD coat of wax is needed..

Its there to keep the rear fender from getting scuff marks on it (a result of a huge ass sliding on and off of the rear seat) You didn't mention if you got a solo seat to repleace your stock seat. If you didn't I would leave the plastic on to keep the paint from getting scuffed up. I peeled mine off , and stuck it to the underside of the P-Pad. SOme protection is better than none :)
