Street Vibrations is one of the premier Runs on the West Coast (if you can call Reno the West Coast).

Weather was fantastic, vendors were plentiful as were beautiful things to observe. Unfortunately I forgot the camera, but I'm sure others will post the pictures.

I did not do the Poker run on Friday, I was having too much fun. On Saturday we did the Cathouse Run and it was very interesting. I think the ladies enjoyed it more than we did, but it was a wonderful ride and it was well organized and produced by The Always Organized HA.

I was partying pretty hard at The Nugget, and was graced by meetings with a lot of friends old and new. THe only guy from here that made the show was Greg (gbenner) and his "to die for wife", Connie. We partied for about 7 hours drinking, talking, laughing, dancing, and drinking some more. The visit was more delightful than I could have hoped for and if I didn't say anything stupid I hope that we've made new friends.

We had hoped that nickp would make it but he must have gotten busy elsewhere. I know that Greg took a few pictures and he might even post them for your entertainment.

I look forward to meeting him again in the future. We had a great time, well, at least I did!

It goes to promote internet acquaintances getting together, it has proven very beneficial for me, personally, as I have had the good fortune to meet some of the nicest people through this medium. The ladies enjoyed each other's company and from the dancing and frivolity that went on I think we all had an ass-kicking good time.

Sorry that the others couldn't get to the meeting place...we partied at The Nugget and then went to Fitzgeralds for a great band at the bar. They had as good a time as the rest of us did and the party lasted until LATE !!!

The ride home this morning was kind of cold it was around 44 degrees when I went thru the Donner Pass so I chattered through my hangover as I rode but it was about 70 on the valley floor when I made it down.

Thanks, Greg, for a good time...see you soon I hope !

Hey Manny, thx for the nice comments, Connie and i had the absolute time of our lives with you, peggy, john, kathy , debbie, and ??. I just got in (1:eek:o AM Monday). Left Reno about 1:30pm on sunday, dropped Connie at Sacramento Int'l at 6:30, and then "smoked it" to LA. 400 more miles in just under 6 hours. Boy that Road King is fun! I will leave another post or two re: the event, its' the best one we've been to. I do have some pictures, just need to remember how to download, etal.

Manny, you summed it up very well, what a great way to meet super people. Those of you who have had the pleasure of meeting Manny already know what an unbelievable host he is! We'll see you in December when we come to Sears Point!

regards, Greg/Connie

Manny: Where were you man? The wife and I came by (a bit late) 6pm on saturday night... We thought we had the wrong place... No bar keep named Debbie, and no pit boss.. As a matter of fact, do they need a pitboss for slots?
Anyhow, the bar keep (slim guy with mustache) seemed to think my wife and I were retarded for asking for Manny!

Anyhow.. We tried... I f-ed up and didn't get any pics.. .Diigital was forgot again and the wife broke her camera the first day we were there..

Another bummer was my wifes helmet gettin' gaffled on Saturday night, right off my bike's handlebars.. Bullsheeeet! Bastards! they'd better have some bad carma for that crap!

Anyhow.. the show was awesome! Had an awesome time.. I wish I met you guys.. Sorry bout that..

Hope to meet ya'll sometime soon!
Talk to ya soon.. nickp.

Well, here's my second attempt at a report. Attaching a picture may be "too much for the man".

We've been to four of the larger events in the west over the last few years, (some more than once), Hollister, Las Vegas , Laughlin and now Reno (not counting the Love Ride, its a one day event).

LV and Laughlin both do not close off the streets and the vendors are in large parking lots. Also, its pretty for between the Casinos in hot weather, walking. Hollister is like Reno, main street closed down except for a bike lane, with the vendors and bike parking on both sides of the street. HOWEVER, Reno has nice restaurants, Casinos, Bars etal, one by one, all along the 4-5 block "strip". When you get tired, dozens of really nice places to duck into for a brew, lunch, or whatever.

Outstanding fireworks display later Saturday night, set to 60s - 70s rock and roll music. Really quite impressive!

Local riding is also impressive, we went to Virginia City and around Lake Tahoe. Beautiful areas. Weather was perfect, mid 70s to mid 80s, sunny.

Absolutely worth going to, IMHO. Will be there next year for sure.

Nickp, sorry we missed you, could you have got the wrong place? We were at the bar till 7:30 or so, Manny's kind of hard to miss! Next Time!

I may have to post the pictures is a separate Post, if at all.

regards, greg

OK, one by one. The last picture was taken from a perch about 30 feet up, at about 3rd street and Virginia.(event was fron 2nd street to 5th street. i think.

Next is what i think is an Arial square 4, built as a sort of chopper. Engine was beautiful (if its actually a honda or something please e mail me privately)

nickp,

Sorry you missed us. We hang out at The Lil' Nugget during the day. It is a convenient meeting place in the middle of everything and it's not too big so we're easy to find.

By 7:30 we were at Fitzgerald's with live music and Debbie was with us. With all the night action in Reno we always leave the Nugget when the sun goes down for better entertainment.

The night shift there wouldn't know us.

JimmyK and I missed you at Hollister too! Unfortunate ! Sooner or later....

Greg, are you gonna post the pictures from Fitzgerald's ?

well.. Thats a bummer.. Next time Manny & greg.. Thanks for postin' the
pics... I'm an a-hole... left the digital at home and then my wife dropped her camera in the parking lot getting onto the deuce. We did however get a nice lady in Virginia City to snap a couple shots of us.. She said she'd mail us the pics.. That was pretty cool..
Anyhow, glad everyone seemed to have a great time... I thought it was one of the best shows I've been to yet (in my short two years of going!).

Can't wait until the next... Actually, the wife and I just happen to be going to new Orleans to visit friends Halloween weekend this month! Oh yeah baby.. Steel Pony Express is the same weekend in N.O..!! Can't wait..
too bad I can't bring the scoot!
Talk to ya.. nickp.

I checked a couple spots and they wanted $300 a day for a stock deuce or road king. If you want a custom (i.e. pit bull or something comparable, it was almost $400 for the day! Most spots are booked.. Oh well.. nick

Wow! The local dealer here in Glendale (Los Angeles area) rents thru Eagle Rider at $140/day, $375/3 days for a Road King. Eagle Rider is all over, thought it was part of the Company? $300/day is Bull &%#^.
