I was wondering if anyone knew a sorce for custom frames for a sportster. I was looking for a wide-tire frame for an ironhead powertrain. I have looked on the net and found a few replacment OEM style frame but nothing very intresting.

My other option is finding a shop to do the work. Anyone know a shop that does good frame work?

The reason a ask is I have the chance to pick up a pair of good running ironhead sportsters, stock they don't do much for me, but if i could make something intresting it would be worth it.

Thanks.

Not sure if you looking for a rigid or swingarm frame, but I looked in the V-Twin catalog and they have a rigid frame made by Corbin-Gentry with a 40 degree rake and 1 inch stetch. They have frames for mechanical and disk brakes. They are not wide tire.

Don't really care about if it is rigid or not, but i would really like to find a good frame for a wide tire.

I have found several i liked...anyone ever swap the power train on a sportster into another frame. Doesn't look all that hard if you take your time about it.

Any thoughts?
