Has anyone tryed some speaker baffels in there EG? I understand there are speaker upgrades avaible from Harley and other places but I can't help but think some baffels might work good for a fraction of the cost.

I haven't.
Put in Hog Tunes and never looked back.
I can actually play ZZ Top loud without having to bury the bass...

Normally--you would be totally correct! The issue with the HD speaker is they were so interested in making the speaker water resistant, the extra parts they added to achieve this, impede the speakers ability to move--like adding an extra pair of shocks to the ass end of a bike.

With the HD speaker--apply any bass, and the restriction of the extra parts is so much so, the speaker just craps out.

Again--you would normally be right--but in this case, the speaker itself is poorly designed for his application.

Before I heard of Hog Tunes I put the Harley 4 channel amp and their premium speakers in my 05 Ultra. Do the Hog Tunes sound better than their up graded speakers? From what I can tell the amp can actually overdrive these speakers.
