Yes you can.
When you increse the air intake say with a stage 1 air cleaner is when you need to remap. The air cleaner volume increase will get you more HP.

Nice. I like the full fender rear and fenderless front. Timeless. :chopper:
You should make an introduction post at the "In The Beginning". Tell everyone a little about yourself and your riding history.
Happy dude

I bought my FXSTI in Aug 2002 after riding my 1974 FXE since it was new. In fact I still have it with over 200K on it. I wish I would have bought a Softail sooner. I have 23000 on the Softail and have had no major issues other than a continuously leaking left front fork seal. The engine is flawless compared to a Shovelhead.

Enjoy it and be safe.

Are any of you guy running Wild 1 560's on your FXST's. I want to put a set on my Train but the cabling & hose is too short. Wild 1 told me a Standard's stuff will fit but I am looking for confirmation.

Thanks

Steve
TRIPL8,

I have an existing question on another thread regarding the full rear fender on a FXST. Nobody has responded yet. My question is: Which fender did you use and what sort of modifications, if any did you have to do to make it fit. Did it bolt right up or did you have to drill additional holes.

I'm wondering if I can get away with using a fatboy, heritage or deluxe fender on my '03 FXST.

Thanks in advance for your help.
I don't have a specific answer on fitment, however, I did just see an FXST (maybe 04) with the Fatboy rear fender on it. It looked pretty cool.

I put on the fatboy rear fender this past spring. I always hated the stock fender on the fxst but really like the bike so I swapped out the rear. My plan is to do the same with the front with a fl fender I bought a few years ago but I really like the look of it now. Almost has a hot rod look. If I put the fl fender on the front it will look like all those 06 stripped down heritages coming out. So I think I'll leave it as is untill harley comes out with this look ( who knows).

I am confused. This guy nochrome, is either TerryA, bought Terry's bike, or is using TerryA's pics. Check out page 1 of this thread. What the hell?

Don
03fxst, I see what you see. Other than the rear fender,it is identical to TerryA's bike.
nochrome, Care to elaborate?
Terrya12's last post was 12-17-04.
nochrome joined VTF 12-30-04.
Both in Canada.
One and the same?
Hold up guys. Its still me Terrya12. I forgot my password and set up a new log in under nochrome because the fxst has "no chrome" basically. No I did not sell the bike. I am getting to where I like it now. I hope to finish it off this winter with pipes and extended controles. I've been wanting to put this rear fender on it for a long long time and now its done. I'm very pleased. I like some of the new 06 bikes but don't have the cash or the energy to start over.
Good to see your still around Terry. I like the rear fender change. Been thinking about doing the same thing to my bike. Also doing the narrow FL on the front.
Sweet. That will look good. I thought about the same thing and that would make your bike look real unique. Here is a pic of a dyna I found on line that made me think the same. Real retro looking, got to love it. What do you think?

Yeah! I like the older XL/FX braces on that fender, which reminds me that I like the older XL/FX front fenders also.
