Forward Controls

Yeah, I put on Arlen Ness 3" Forward control extensions. I bought them from Cyborg Cycles for about $130. Nice kit. It comes with everything you need including longer braided rear brake lines and longer shift rod and is a pretty straight forward install which is a good thing because the instructions aren't much help. I would highly recommend it if you were looking for more room and didn't want to spend a chunk on completely new forward controls.

I heard a guy say this the other day:

"Chrome won't get you home, but it will get you laid."

Anybody know why I can't view pics on this forum?

JT, It is because you are blue, for $15 you won't get laid, my opinion, some think they are screwed for that  , but you will get to see the pictures, and turn orange . Don't you get a message to subscribe when you try to view pictures? There is plenty of infomation about it here somewhere.... :D

I belong to another forum and what they do to cover there expenses is sell a forum patch for $15 bucks. They probably cost less than $2 to produce and you at least get a patch to wear if your into that.

Looks good Ringo, any clearance issues with the 160 rear, I'd like to go with a 18" with a 160.

THANKS,

I had no clearance problems. I put the stock deuce wheel with a 160. Had to turn the strut bolts inside out. Bike is lowered as far as you can get it. I tried a 170 but it wouldn't fit. I can fit a credit card b/t tire and fender but ride 2 up alot with no problem. I had our Harley shop do all the work. They told me ahead of time that it wouldn't fit, but i said I know someone who did it so try. They tried and it fit.

Ringo, thanks for responding man, and thanks for the info. I think on my next tire and wheel change, I'll try the 160 x 18.

Again thanks,

Anyone know of a seat that will sit you back further in the saddle. I currently have a badlander seat on my FXSTI but I'm not liking it too much. I would rather have something like the Harley Tall Boy that sits you back an additional 1.75" and further up 2" to get you a bit more leg room however, they don't make one for the FXST. I already have the extended forward controls on it but want a bit more leg room......any idea's for a new seat tall riders out there?

I put a lepara solo seat and Kuryakyn forward controls on my wifes and it fits me very good, I'm 6'5". The wife is 5'11" and she's pretty stretched out. my aunt rode it , she's about 5'9" and she was very uncomfortable.

new owner of A FXSTI

Just came home with my new FXSTI! I love this bike but definitely needs louder pipes. My question is can I put on SE slip-ons without doing the stage 1 air cleaner and efi remap? To start with and and add the stage one when more $$ is availabe. Need that classic Harley sound.
Thanks
Richard
