Yep. Bought her very stock in '93 and then did the chop in '99. It's cool cuz '84 was the first year for the FXST and the Evolution, so it still has the chain drive and 4 speed with electric and kick start. Can't go very far with that peanut tank, but I wouldn't change a thing!

: )
A friend bought one new in '84. Let me take it around the block. I have a pic of it somewhere.
You got yourself a genuine old school Softail there.

Here's me baby, a work in progress, all my paint should come back before the weekend.

Got a question about having your bike lowered. Is the ground clearance around turns a problem. Thinking about dropping rear about 2 in.

Depends on the pipes you have. Used to have 16G DB and yes they scraped. Now have V&H Big Radius and I have only scraped them once turning out of a driveway.
Been up on the forum awhile but haven't posted here yet. Here's my 2000 FXST TC88

work is still in progress, adding chrome and other stuff still. I'm getting ready to swap the stock rear wheel with a Deuce wheel and 160mm tire, chrome cam cover, chrome tranny cover, baisley spring while the cam cover is off, 2" lowering kit front and rear, and going to polish the lower legs, rotors and pulley while I have everything stripped down. That's it for this year, going to wait until the seasons over before I do anything else. I just bought it in March and I'd like to enjoy it for a little while lol!

I lowered the wifes, I think it was about 2" with a progressive kit using stock shocks. first ride she pulled out of the driveway and scraped the swingarm and almost dumped it. I quickly raised it up a little. still looks great and not quite as dangerous.

I was lucky to live in Harley paradise in Hawaii for 4 years with my FXST. Good times. :brows:
do you mind if I ask what bars those are? or do you remember how much rise they have?
THanks
Here is a pic of my bike. Only mods are the cycle shack slipon mufflers, stage 1 AC and stainless steel braided brake and clutch lines. Than one day at work someone scatched the paint on my tank on the right side.

They look like stock Dyna bars to me, maybe he swapped out at some point. Click my pictures below to see Chubby Wild One 12-1/2" Apes with 1-1/2" Risers if that is what you are looking for

:)
Thanks, nice looking bike you have there.
I ended up getting stock street bob bars and risers, it's for the wifes bike. The drag bars seemed to make her lean forward too much and any ride over 50 miles or so and her back starts to burn and ache. hopefully these will work. I have to figure out how to put a pic on here, it's a pretty sweet ride, especially for a chicks bike.
Does anyone have any pics of their bike with Wild 1 560s installed. I have a set but I'm thinking twice about putting them on. I have everything to do a chrome handle bar and switch change out, but not quit sure about the 560s. Any pictures or comments will be greatly appreciated.{salute(
thread dead??

Not a whole lot of talk going on with this thread, just wondering if it's dead or if everyone is out riding?
Well, my bike is up on the stand waitin for my Duece wheel conversion, so I aint ridin til this weekend at least.
I just got home yesterday. I rode to Florida and back. Stock seat sucks, but I lived. No geezer glide for me.
People are still here just not much talking going on. I just lowered my FXST w/ the fat boy rear fender on and it looks f-ing great. Didn't think the 1in. would be enough but it is. Will post a pick later to see what you all think.

Def want to see some pics, I just put the lowering kit on my shocks while everything is torn apart, hadn't decided how low I want to go yet. Be very interested in how yours turned out.
Rolo,

Definately interested in seeing the pics of your bike. I'm thinking of doing the conversion myself. !drunk!
Well, here's the Deuce wheel conversion lowered about 1 1/2", gonna lower the front too, not sure if I should go 1 1/4" or the full 2" I really like the slammed look but ridin 2-up at -2" may be a little rough. Just bought a Le Pera Silhouette saddle too, I would've had pics but it's too dark right now lol
Just got back from out of town. I am going to go home at lunch today and put some picks up.
