I have a Danny Gray seat on my 05' looks great and can ride about 2hrs before my ass starts to tingle (pull over for a cigarette then good to go again). He has a speed cradle seat that moves you about 2in. forward with the front raised a little. check it out in J&P cycles..part # 801270
Have read a S load of threads but still have a question. I have a 05' FXST 88carb. What is the first thing I should do to my engine to get more power. Have a stage 1 kit bike jetted and all that and now I need more power and don't know where to start. Have read alot about the 95 upgrade new cams and such. Do I have to do everything at once, or is there things here and there to add on? I am looking for I guess drag racing power. Would love enough power to get the front wheel off of the ground.
I would like to go about $1500.00 faster. Not really sure which way to go with the money though. Any ideas. I will be running Hell Bent pipes.
Yeah that is the 1 sacrifice I am going to make. I love the look and sound of the Hell Bent pipes. Might change my mind though. Have to see how many noise pollution tickets I get this spring and summer.
Hey Scary let me know how your install goes. I am getting ready to lower my bike also. Any tools I need and hints would be appreciated.
Got a question about having your bike lowered. Is the ground clearance around turns a problem. Thinking about dropping rear about 2 in.
People are still here just not much talking going on. I just lowered my FXST w/ the fat boy rear fender on and it looks f-ing great. Didn't think the 1in. would be enough but it is. Will post a pick later to see what you all think.
Just got back from out of town. I am going to go home at lunch today and put some picks up.
here are some pics
They are the 1 1/2 with a 8" rise and I think about 2-3 in. of pull back. I am 6'1 and they are really comfortable. I still need to run the wires inside, will look a lot better.
