Do I need a shorter kickstand if I put a lowering kit on my sporty? It makes me think my bike will not lean as far over with the original kickstand and the bike lowered??????

Never paid attention to the set up. Is it spring loaded to lean to it's max angle? If so, my guess is that you will increase the pitch of the angle by about 10%. So if your bike sits at say 285 it will sit at 295.

I have seen wedge shims to put on the kick stand mount so that it alows a lowered bike to lean more when on the stand, but I can't seem to remember were I saw them, that CRS thing.

When you buy the lowering kit from Harley they include the Jiffy. Good enough for them to think so, good enough for me.

Hey misguided you could either run a Hugger kickstand or if you are not running the HD lowering kit (that includes a kickstand) you can order just the kickstand from that kit. As for a shim I haven't seen one for a XL, only for a Softail.

God that whitebros site sucks to navigate!

Sorry about that web site. I got my product information via .pdf file from their site. You're right, It does suck. But they DO have the part you need.

In case you are interested...

Instead of putting a lowering kit on my Sporty I changed the front wheel from the 21 inch stock wheel to a 19 inch mag. I have TONS more control. Just something to consider.
