Anyone have a guestimate as to the average time charged for changing out the heads and pistons on a big bore change??? Just trying not to get ripped off.

That totally depends on the dealer/indy....i have seen anywhere from 7 hours to 19 hours(OMG). Keep in mind these are for cam,pistons heads and tuning in some facitilies....I am not sure of the H-D book time though..What did your guy quote you?? I also depends on the bike as well..

Thanks guys...05 road king. I've already got andrews 37 cams. The dealer quoted me "about 600$ off the top of my head" but said that would include some dyno time. It just sounded high...(this is without parts or headwork). Gonna inquire further and clarify before I do anything. Maybe with dyno time it's more in line????? Leaning further and further from Harley Dealers.....more and more toward independent wrenches.
