Bishop:

Earlier version "E" (4.5.0) and now the latest version "F" SERT Software includes the '06 Dyna tuning files. From the Manual:

Version 4.5.0 New and Changed Features

Tuning mode 4.5.0 adds support for 2006 vehicles with both open and closed loop calibrations. All calibration files released with version 4.5.0 are type ‘MT6’.

The status bar has an additional panel to indicate if a calibration is Open or Closed loop.

The following Tuning File changes were made with Tuning Mode 4.5.0:

· Closed Loop Bias table added to Closed Loop Calibration files

· 127xxxxx-A1.MT5 files were upgraded to 127xxxxx-B0.MT6

· 105xxxxx-C2.MT5 files were upgraded to 105xxxxx-D0.MT6

Closed Loop Operation
Background

2006 EFI Dyna models come equipped with 2 "switching" O2 sensors…also known as stoichiometric sensors. Unlike wide-band O2 sensors which can measure and control over a wide AFR range (10-20), switching sensors can only control within a narrow range (+/- 0.5 AFR). This offset in control is accomplished with the EFI Race Tuner by adjusting the Closed-Loop Bias table.

i use the zippers thundermax on my 06 dyna, works great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So the SERT now works?! Woohoo! Looks like I have some $$ saving to do. And all I thought I needed was some saddlebags.
Ok, now that I have the SERT, I'm having trouble finding the stage one map for it in the tuning files provided, and the documentation isn't much help. Any pointers, please? I want to use the stage one map as a starting point and work from there. Or can I read the stage one file from the bike, and modify it from there?

What version is your CD? The map should be 141NX001-A0.MT6 ... If your CD doesn't have the map on it, then you've got an older version. If that's the case, send me a PM.
According to my package I have the "E" revision, and the CD is version 4.5.3. Found the map; it wasn't referenced in the tuner calibration PDF file.

Is there a comprehensive list of the different tuning files somewhere?

One is for Closed Loop 2006 Dynas with 8 degree injectors and the other is for the same bike with 25 degree injectors. Make sure you use the correct file. Sorry about not mentioning the different injectors earlier. I was stoned.. :harhar:

From your Desktop, click on:

Start/All Programs/Screamin Eagle Tools/Delphi/Delphi Race Tuner Cals

Has the complete listing.

Ok, so I'm going to hazard a guess that the stock injectors in an '06 Dyna are the 8 degree ones?

Depends on when it was made. Early ones had 8 degree injectors. You can look at your injectors and see which ones you've got.
Sorry to be a total newbie pain in the keister, but how? Is it marked on the injector?

Yes, the PN of the injector is on the injector itself and it's a pita to see. I looked from the opposite side of the Throttle Body and craned my neck a few times and was able to see the PN. If your bike was made on/around 2/13/06 you'll have the 25 degree.

The 8 degree PN 27625-06

The 25 degree PN 27709-06

Here's the bulletin.

Ahh, ok. Thanks for all the pointers. :)
Ok one more question:

is the 141NX002-A0.MT6 calibration file the same as the stage one download? Or is it already 'tweaked'?

My stage one bike gets pretty hot at idle, pretty quick, and occasionaly lean pops.
Don't want to hijack the thread but just got a 06 wideglide, very interested in the SERT ,is there a good place to order it from online or a sponser on the board?

I don't think it's the same map as the download, but I could be wrong. If you want to tweak that map, it's pretty easy. Your bike will run a lot better and cooler too. Start of by upping the mv settings in the Closed Loop Bias tables, then go into the VE tables and increase the settings by a few units. I also was able to advance my timing a bit, but you'll need to do some data mode runs to see if your knock sensors kick in. Bike runs great now and a lot more power. If you want a decent map for the '06 Dynas, I can send you a couple to try out. Just PM me...

And for purchasing a SERT, I got ordered mine from Hale's HD in Ohio. You can also get good prices from Zanotti's or Benjis.
Jamie, just wanted to thank you publicly for those maps; the second one worked out great.

Hey no problem. I'm glad it worked out. I think most people would be amazed at how much better the bikes run with a decent map instead of the HD download. If anyone else needs a map for an '06 Dyna, just PM me.
