Just got new aftermarket "upgrade" sealed wheel bearings for my 97 FXD. Instructions say they have to be pressed in. Anyone just "drive" 'em in with proper sized socket and hammer? Not up for taking them to a shop to have them pressed in. Any suggestions would help. Thanks.

I suppose you could, but the better way would be simply to use the proper size socket to fit the outer race, other improvised washers and a piece of threaded rod with nuts from the hardware store and pull them in.

I agree with Hippo...and the most important thing is to make sure whatever method you use is putting the force on the outer race only. Ball bearings can croak if you push em in via the inner race. All the force is transmitted to the outer race thru the balls being pushed sideways, and standard ball bearings aren't designed to be loaded sideways.
