I have a 2002 roadking and am going to install the progressive lowering kit in the forks. I'm lowering them 1". The mech. at the local dealer said that useing S.E. oil along with lowering the forks would make make the ride to stiff. He also said I should put in the stock amount of oil (11.1oz) even with the lowering kit. Does this sound correct to you guys???

I would ask the dealer that if the suspension bottoms out will he put the s.e. fluid in at no charge. I always use s.e. on all bikes, just my preference. As for the amount of oil , I would have him follow the instructions. The manufacturer of the kit probably has a little more experiance. If i remember correctly it may require an ounce or two more, its been awhile since i have done one so don't rely on that info..
