Hi:

If anyone has any experience with these exhaust systems, I would like to know their oppinion.

I am waiting on a '03 Heritage Softail Classic and will probably have the exhaust changed. I was debating between the Screamin Eagle II or the Factory HD aftermarket exhaust. Does one perform better than the other, which one is louder or quieter?

Any help would be appeciated.

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum gwreyes,

There are NUMEROUS threads on this forum concerning this topic. Try doing a"Forum: Search" of "Screaming Eagle exhaust". Depends on how much you want to spend, and how loud you really want your bike to be as well as the power gains (or losses) associated with each of them.

What color Classic did you order?

Welcome gwreyes,
It sounds like you're in the same boat I was in just a few weeks ago. When I first started looking & asking I was thinking "loud". Then a few guys here in the forum educated me about the possible power loss with loud pipes. So I started doing a lot of searching, reading and then stopping by exhaust shops with questions. What I learned is to go with performance pipes along with the Stage I kit. Pipes like most of the stuff with Harleys are all about personal choice. You're waiting on a Heritage Softail Classic and I'm waiting on a Dyna Wide Glide. When do you get yours?

Thanks for the reply guys! to answer your questions:

dprice: I am getting the two tone Silver/Black Heritage Softail. As for sound, I am not looking to be the loudest bike in a crowd, all I really want is a nice deep rumble and if I get a few more ponies out of an exhaust, then that's a bonus.

cox9000: So what set up are you going with? My bike is supposed to arrive in time for winter!!!! They said around October.

Chat with you soon!
