Screamin eagle air breather & removal of baffles?

I just bought a 2002 Fatboy & the guy I bought it off of had taken the baffles out of the stock pipes & put a screamin eagle air breather on it & that was it. I have noticed that the pipes are blueing beyond the heat covers, is there any connection & should I be concerned or is it ok?

Is it carbed or FI ?? has it been jetted or remapped ?? Sounds lean.

I is fuel injected.

Your engine is running lean on the fuel/air ratio. The pipes are blueing from the excessive heat. Think of what the heads / valves, etc., are experiencing.

Richen up your fuel mix with rejetting or a remap.

Do you have a carb or FI?

Get a POWER COMMANDER PC111r and have it dyno tuned or at least download a map from the POWER COMMANDER web site for you set up. THE bike will run better and have more power. ED

All exhaust pipes get hot, and they all blue. Period.

Except for the ones that get hot and turn gold ... oh, yeah and the black ones - they pretty much stay black...

Chrome turns blue, stainless turns gold, and black ... well Boismier is right. But it still may be too lean after those mods.
