Hi,
I have a 2001 Road King. I'm trying to change the rear brake pads, but have discovered that I cannot fit my external torx bit into the area needed to loosen the pad pins (the 2 small bolts near the center of the pad - outside side). 1) does anyone know if there is a 'special' tool for this? 2) if not, what style/size of external torx bit should I be using?

Thanks.

It's not a TORX.

Get a thinwall 1/4" 12 point socket. Snap-On or even Sears has them. Couple of bucks.

Once in a while you get a Sears socket that doesn't fit. Get another one or tap it on with a hammer.

Hey, is that Road King in the front room? My wife won't let me put mine in the basement rec room. (Besides I'd have to remove the handle bars to get it thru the darn door!)
