can anyone tell me the 1st year cat's were put in non-Cal head pipes, and which slip on mufflers would give me a little more rumble on my 2012 RK with cat's.

Look at the Python slip-ons. 1 3/4 baffles give you a nice sound and you don't have to have it re-mapped as long as you stay under 2 inch baffles. Recommend having it remapped though. Don't know the year about the cats.
